HOW WE PROTECT OURSELVES AND YOU
In order to protect you and Teleflex against potential accusations of bribery and corruption Teleflex has taken the following steps to ensure independence of our grant related decisions:
- Medical Education Grant requests should be unsolicited
- Requests are carefully reviewed by an independent Grant Review Committee to ensure compliance with our guidelines for Medical Education Grant support; this enables us to separate the commercial side of our business from the educational side
- We have prohibited our Sales and Marketing representatives from being involved in the grant process. Due to this your Teleflex representative is unable to answer questions on specific grant requests or decisions
- All communication and questions surrounding a specific Grant Request should be directed to grants@teleflex.com
- Medical Education Grant requests are reviewed solely on the education merits and no commercial considerations are taken into account. If you would like to inform Teleflex of any commercial opportunities, you can discuss this with your local Teleflex Sales or Marketing representative
WHAT NOT TO INCLUDE IN A GRANT REQUEST
- Commercial activities are not appropriate for inclusion in a Grant Request
- Commercial activities may be directed toward your Teleflex Sales or Marketing representative separate from any grant request; commercial activities are reviewed by Marketing and considered separately at a fair market value rate
- Due to the strict scrutiny of our industry, any reference that could be perceived to tie the Medical Education Grant to the purchase of Teleflex products may result in an otherwise legitimate request being denied
